Montenegro – Astroblema

Montenegro is a basque artist and producer based in Barcelona. Stemming from club music, Montenegro dissects rhythmic patterns and transforms melodic lines with a remarked post-industrial influence. He is also one of Aizkora’s co-founders, a Barcelona/Bilbao based label/collective which has issued 8 releases in less than a year and has collaborated with local and international artists from different fields.

Astroblema is Montenegro’s debut EP where he explores syncopated club rhythms through his trademark sound of stretched and resampled abrasive textures, high pitched noisy electrical sounds and contorted drum samples. The EP closes off with a remix by Karenina using stems from the 3 previous tracks.
